Fundraiser for Jim Widdop -

On the 23rd December 2024 we sadly lost Jim (James) Barry Widdop.

Jim was just 50 years old, beloved father, son, brother, partner, friend and inspiration to so many. Our love and thoughts go out to you all.

Jim was the kindest man and famously the most incredible musician. He touched so many lives in Derby, The Shire and across the country with not only his extraordinary talent on Dobro, pedal steel guitar, drums and song but also because of his passion for all those that play. His enthusiasm and encouragement for others performing and creating music, at every and any level, leaves a legacy impossible to quantify but will live on in all who have played with and for him or heard him play.

We are coming together in this fundraiser to help support his family through this unimaginably difficult time and because so many have asked if a fundraiser can be started to help cover his funeral expenses.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and beautiful posts on Facebook about him, all have been shared with his family and it’s been a great comfort.

The funeral has not yet been announced, but details will be posted here once confirmed.

Rest in peace, Jim, you will never be forgotten. Xxx
