A horrific fire has taken the family home of Jim and Sally Riman. Luckily- they made it out with no significant injuries. However- they lost everything... family photos, musical instruments, wallets, car keys, glasses and just about anything else you can imagine. have lived in this home since 1990 and raised their children in it. So many memories and irreplaceable keepsakes- gone in a flash.
Anyone who knows Jim and Sally knows how much they help their community and friends in need without expecting anything in return. Our mother has never failed to help anyone in need, and our father volunteers at a food bank. Our mother also flies to her children's homes and helps with their growing families whenever they need her.
There have been some struggles in the past few years... the school that my mother taught music for suddenly eliminated the music program and left our mother- who has been a music teacher for over 30 years- without a job. She never gave up... she still teaches children in the community and tirelessly looks for opportunities to teach music. She has been involved in countless music programs in the community and shows to benefit different things. Our father was also involved- with the lights and sound.
There are so many examples that we could give of this couple's selflessness and rock solid faith. This is such a difficult time for them. The house had no insurance. It was an older mobile home, and no insurance company would cover it. They really need the help of their community at this time. Although they would never ask for it... we are. Please help our parents through this.
