Jimbei’s Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
Our sweet little man was in excruciating pain a few weeks ago and we rushed him to the emergency vet at 1:30 in the morning to find out he had a urinary blockage and needed immediate care. He ultimately was diagnosed with FLUTD, feline lower urinary tract disease, which can be fatal if not dealt with immediately. He was in the hospitals care for 2 days before he was given back to us. Simultaneously, Mikey and I contracted the Flu and were unable to work for a whole week and missed Christmas. A week and a half went by and jimbei was starting to strain to urinate and was seemingly very uncomfortable again. We took him in that night to the emergency vet and he was blocked yet again. Two more days go by and we get him back on New Year’s Day with a new prescription diet and pain medication. We stayed vigilant to his symptoms and basically never left his side unless we had to. Fast forward to today, 1/5/24, he showed signs of straining once again and, yet another blockage. This is now the third time it has happened and the vet urged him to get Perineal Urethrostomy surgery to fix the problem. We told him to go ahead, so Jimbei is currently in surgery at the moment. If you ever met Jimbei he is the sweetest, chillest, most loving cat one will ever meet. He’s full of life and we want him to continue to be in our lives ❤️ With all the vet visits and spontaneous surgery we could use as much help as we can get. Even the smallest amount will help! Thank you for all your love and kindness in advance
