Jimmy & Jackie Medical Help

In an instant, everything can change, and facing cancer is one of the most daunting challenges anyone can endure. The fear of the unknown and the uncertainty of what lies ahead can bring overwhelming stress and anxiety. As a sister, caregiver, and follower of Jesus, I humbly reach out for help for my sister, Jackie, who is battling financial hardships alongside her medical struggles.

 

A few months ago, I requested prayers for Jackie as she courageously fought cancer. Many people asked how they could assist, and my response was simply to pray. Jackie was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2020. Through countless rounds of chemotherapy, hair loss, pain, fear, and unwavering prayers, she emerged victorious over cancer by the grace of God.

 

Fast forward to July 2023, when Jackie visited Minnesota and experienced significant groin pain. Upon returning home, doctors identified a possible muscle tear and initiated physical therapy. Concerned about a cancer recurrence, Jackie persisted in seeking answers. Subsequent tests revealed elevated cancer markers, leading to a PET scan that unveiled the spread of cancer to her liver, abdomen, ribs, and spine.

 

Since December 2023, Jackie has been undergoing treatments at Fred Hutchinson in Seattle, with recent tests indicating cancer progression. MD Anderson in Houston, a leading cancer care facility, has accepted her for treatment. However, the financial burden of such advanced care surpasses what Jackie and her family can manage, despite insurance coverage. Her inability to work due to health concerns has further compounded the financial strain.

 

Selecting the right hospital is paramount for Jackie's well-being, and MD Anderson's expertise offers hope for an extended and improved quality of life. Amid these challenges, Jackie remains hesitant to seek help, highlighting her selflessness and compassion for others in need.
