James Knapp Obituary

James L. "Jimmy" Knapp, 47, of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his residence.

Jimmy was born on July 9, 1976, in Titusville to Kenneth J. and Barbara Baker Knapp. He married Stacie L. Harger on Oct 5, 2013, at Rometownship Community Church. They were happily married for 10 years. - He stopped loving her today - George Jones.

Jim graduated from the Titusville Senior High Class of 1995.

Jimmy was a machinist at Grand Valley Manufacturing for over 20 years, moaning and groaning the whole way home. But he could never imagine working anywhere else.

Super "Jim" was full of life, he loved to come rolling in blaring Johnny Cash and burning tires. To know him was to love him, when he loved you, it was fiercely, and you knew it. Jimmy was a devoted husband, proud father, and loving papa until the day he died. He was a real people person who could make a friend anywhere.

He was a hard-working man who realized family and relaxation were worth more than hours spent at the shop. He was the life of the party. He was an excellent listener and was great at keeping secrets because he couldn't remember them. Jim loved spending time in his garage and working on a list of never-ending projects. He was always wanting to ride his Can-am, scaring the pants off anyone who dared to climb on and be his passenger.

He and his sons took a special interest in Baker's stock car racing, they loved watching and cheering on their favorite stock car driver in action. He was a simple family man with many faults, who stole our hearts every day and will always be remembered.

He is survived by his wife Stacie of Centerville, his children Eli Knapp, Jacob Knapp, Kaylyn Acton, Caleb Stephens, Korianne Acton and fiancé Jay Bowes II all of Titusville, three grandchildren Madalynn Bowes, Parker Sutton and Jay Bowes III. Special mention to Annie who touched his life. Mother Barbara Knapp of Titusville, Step mother Phylis Knapp of SC and two siblings Thomas Wencil and Wife Tammie of Titusville, Tina Daye and husband William of Titusville; And Several half-siblings. Many special nieces and nephews that he loved very much. His beloved dog, Roscso Train Knapp will forever be waiting by the door waiting for him to return home.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Kenneth "Jim" Knapp.

Visitations will be held at the Rometownship Community Church 44364 Harrison Rd, Spartansburg, Pa 16434 on Thursday from 5-6 at which time a funeral service will be conducted with pastor Tim Harger, officiating
