Jimmy Overton, Good Samaritan, struck by vehicle

On Saturday October 1st, Jimmy came to College Station to visit with family. On his way home he witnessed a family in trouble with an overturned camper on the side of Highway 6 South near Navasota, which was blocking the southbound right hand lane of traffic. Jimmy pulled over and stepped out of his

vehicle to render aid for the family. Prior to the arrival of first responders, a second accident occurred at the same scene involving multiple vehicles and an 18-wheeler. Jimmy was struck by one of the vehicles in this second accident while outside of his vehicle.

His injuries are extensive including a broken and dislocated jaw, multiple rib fractures, a broken pelvis, broken femur, a shattered knee and tibia, and

multiple lacerations.

He has many surgeries and an extremely long and painful recovery ahead of him but we are incredibly blessed that he’s still here with us!

The hospital stays, rehabilitation and healing process will take many months and the medical bills will be extensive. The family is asking for help as we assist Jimmy and Missy navigate this difficult season. All donations will go directly to Jimmy and Missy to assist with these medical bills and all of his care needs.
