It breaks my heart that some people feel so unworthy of help, compassion and love that they risk their own lives instead of just accepting a little help.
I remember Uncle Jimmy always trying to bring a smile to those around him, and how much he loved his parents. Even though he didn't raise his daughter, he loved her and was always proud of her.
His daughter, my cousin, has asked me to take over taking care of his cremation and getting him back to family.
Please share, and if you have a favorite memory of Jimmy Paxton, we'd love to read it in the comments. Thank you!
Uncle Jimmy was homeless, by choice. He was offered help and a roof from more than one person. But I can only assume he didn’t feel worthy of help so he would never accept it.
He died December 16th in the hospital, after struggling for days on a sidewalk while people passed by. Our family wasn’t notified for 4 days.
He was loved. He was a father. A grandfather. An uncle. A son. A brother. A friend.
He was loved and deserved more respect and compassion than this world showed him.
