Jimmy Robinson 3rd

Jim Robinson was the MSHSL’s state coordinator of basketball officials since 1991. I went to high school with his oldest son and he also officiated basketball games that I played in when I was in high school in the 70’s. He was responsible for motivating me to be involved in 5 state tournaments and if it wasn’t for Covid-19 last spring would have been a 6th.  To honor Mr. Robinson the Minnesota State High School League has developed a patch to commemorate Mr. Robinsons contributions to high school basketball in the state. I spoke with the present coordinator of officials yesterday and he said that the patch would be available in the next week for the 1800-2000 officials statewide. Unfortunately since the high school league doesn’t have the money to distribute a patch to all officials they would be able to purchase them on their own at $5 per patch. I was told it would cost approximately $10,000 to distribute the patches to all officials statewide which would include shipping and handling.  . I would appreciate it if you would consider helping the high school league  get this patch out to ALL officials statewide We would like to have the patch distributed by the time the season starts either January 15th or the beginning of February.
