Jimmy Smith & Family

Sgt. Jimmy Smith is a 23 year veteran of the Metro Nashville Police Department. Jimmy is one of the hardest working guys I have ever had the privilege to work with. On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, Jimmy was at work when he stated the left side of his body was feeling weird and appeared to have a problem forming sentences and had slurred speech. Thankfully he was working with Sgt. Jessie Loy, who convinced him to go to the hospital. Shortly, after arriving  at the hospital it was determined he had suffered a mini-stroke. Jimmy was then transferred to St. Thomas - West hospital where further testing discovered he had a blockage in the arteries in his neck that leads to his brain. Jimmy will undergo surgery on Thursday, December 5, 2019, to clear the blockage in his neck. Jimmy is a father of 5 who has always worked hard to provide for his family. Jimmy will likely be out of work for quite some time. All of the money raised will go directly to his family to assist with any medical bills that may accumulate and to help his family during this holiday season.
