Oh, The Places We [want to] Go!
Support Jimmy Vejar Summer Fun and help children and young adults to experience their wish list of places and events this summer
Jimmy Vejar Summer Fun program gives children with and without disabilities the chance to break-down stereotypes and barriers while enjoying summer fun. The program, at Cerebral Palsy of Westchester’s David G. Osterer Center in Rye Brook, NY, runs weekdays for six weeks, beginning July 1.
Participants take part in a full range of activities including swimming in our wheelchair-accessible pool, exercise and exploration in our brand-new adaptive playground/sensory garden, cooking, arts and crafts, music, book club, fun with math and science, themed parties and BBQs, and fabulous field trips (with your help).

This year we have a huge wish list of field trips and events, and with your support, Oh, The Places We’ll [be able to] Go! Many of our participants are in wheelchairs, making even simple outings expensive and complicated. Our regular funding covers only a few trips and special events. Please help make our expanded wish list of activities and trips a reality.
Our wish list includes trips to the Bronx Zoo, Liberty Science Center, Medieval Times, Rockland Boulders baseball, Quassy Amusement Park, Long Island Aquarium, as well as bowling, baking challenges, go kart racing, pottery party, painting party and more.

Please donate to support kids attending Summer Fun this year. We make every dollar count to create an experience our participants won’t forget. Help every child to have summer fun like their peers.
