Jimmy Yarbrough Fund (previously road to recovery)
Donation protected
My name is Tiffany. We are raising funds to help my Uncle Jimmy Yarbrough. He was hospitalized with chest pain a few weeks ago and found out he not only had severe blockage in his heart, he also had blockage in his cartoids (in his neck). He was transferred to Jacksonville where after many days he underwent a triple bypass heart surgery (CABG) and a carotid artery procedure to clear out the blockage in his neck. He knew going in his chances were 50/50 but without the surgery the Doctors said he definitely wouldn't make it. His words were, "whatever the Lord wants, I'll be ok with it ". Coming out of surgery proved to be difficult but after several days and many complications he came off the ventilator and was in the road to recovery. We thought the worst was over. We thanked God for bringing him through. A few days later Uncle Jimmy developed discoloration in his hand and feet. The first scan showed no clots, but as he continued to get worse they did a second scan and it showed clots. He went under 3 more surgeries to help open the veins in his legs and remove the clots. We couldn't understand why this happened. The clots were so bad. Why? Apparently my Uncle has a rare clotting disorder and instead of the Heparin thinning his blood it was causing him to clot. In a normal person clots are a risk after surgery but coupled with his clotting disorder AND the Heparin issues it continued to get worse and worse despite treatment by the hospital staff. The doctors have tried deligently to restore blood flow but the damage was too great and today he was scheduled to have BOTH legs amputated above the knee. My Uncle's words were, "I don't have to have my legs to do God's work." What FAITH!! Unfortunately, he was too weak to have them both done at the same time. He's had about 7 surgies now in the past 2 weeks. But God has again brought him through. We now have to wait another 24-48hrs before they can do the other leg amputation. The doctors are still monitoring his hands as well hoping the blood flow can be restored fully. As you may know these surgeries are not cheap. And he faces more surgeries in the future. The road to recovery will be long and hard. A recovery he is most willing to go through by Faith. A Faith that I honestly wish I had. My Uncle is one of the sweetest men you'll ever meet. He is a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend...my Aunt Ann has been by his side the whole time with her unwavering devotion and faith. We need prayers and God's Miraculous healing power. My Uncle is like his Mother, he won't ask for help for himself, but would give everything he had for someone in need. We are asking those that feel compelled to give to do so. Please donate to help my Uncle continue his road to recovery and continue to do the work that God has led him to do. You can also donate on CashApp $JryAay. If you can't give, we understand. Prayers are welcome as well. Thank you
