"Horrific Logging Accident-HELP!"
Donation protected
JIMMY HARLOW, a lifelong logger and 7 day a week hard worker, had a horrible accident on 1/13/15 when a sawbuck blade cut through the left side of his face right through the jaw. He grabbed a jacket and stopped the profuse bleeding until the ambulance arrived, saving his own life. The blade made a huge cut through his face from his ear to his chin, severing all the arteries and nerves as well as damaging his eye. He endured 5 hours of reconstructive surgery and he is facing additional surgery. He may lose sight in one eye and it is unlikely he will have any feeling over the entire left side of his face. The surgeon said he was the toughest man he had ever met, and the luckiest. He came within a few millimeters of severing his carotid artery.
As long as I have known Jimmy, he has ALWAYS helped anyone who needed his help- from working on cars, to cutting firewood, moving furniture, feeding livestock, limbing trees and landscaping. He has provided 24 hour care for his elderly family members without question and without compensation. He has volunteered hundreds of hours of his time to help a local non-profit school. He has always been there for whoever needed his help. NOW HE NEEDS OUR HELP.
He will be out of work for a long time and will be facing enormous bills. He will have a long and painful road to recovery.
If you know Jimmy, if you've ever had a Bud Light, if you're a logger, a Hank Jr. fan, or simply want to 'pay it forward' to a selfless and tireless hard worker who has never asked anyone for anything, please consider donating. Thank You!
