It is with great sadness to announce that Jin is no longer with us.

Jin Shin was a fantastic human being. I use the word fantastic, because not only was it his favorite adjective to use, but it is also the best word to describe him.

Jin's character can be described as loving, caring, sincere, friendly, inviting, humorous, giving, joyful, loyal, and as mentioned before, FANTASTIC. He had a knack for singing and Chewbacca calls. He would laugh knowing that's how he is described on his biography. You can even peruse the comments area below to see more words to describe him by others.

Jin's life began in South Korea. He immigrated to the US at a young age, in the Fall of 1983. From there he grew up in various parts of Louisiana, NC, and Garland, Texas and graduated from Berkner high school. He has served his country and community in many ways. When he was 18 - He served his country deep in the trenches as part of the Marine Corp. He propelled his career further with a business degree from WGU. He has been a long time pillar in the Dallas service industry. There are numerous news articles about his altruistic work and involvement within the community.

Most recently he began to run his family business at Family Karaoke. He is also the co-owner of Korean restaurant DanSungSa. He made an impact on many people with his genuine sincerity. His kind nature often extended beyond family and friends. He frequently held fundraisers at Family and would donate the proceeds to many causes. For example, not even 3 months ago, he held a GoFundMe to help victims of a nail salon racial attack/shooting in Dallas, Texas. Now, shockingly, a GoFundMe will be created for him.

He is survived by his parents, his two younger sisters, his 14-year-old daughter, his girlfriend Chi, and the many friends he considered family.

On a lighter note - It was tempting to put the fundraiser goal to top the current 44 million record that GoFundMe has ever funded, he was worth much more than that to us. He would be laughing to know that would be the fundraising goal for him. However we shall set it at a humbling $250,000 and hope for the best for his family. Some subtle humorous elements may be seen throughout since he'd likely appreciate that and would want his family and friends to remember him with a smile.

Him and his iconic Chewbacca calls will be dearly missed,

Thank you.
