Andrew Kim is 23 years old. He is Columbia's beloved Jina Yoo's son, owner of Jina Yoo Bistro.

On September 8, 2023, Andrew endured a life-threatening accident in Columbia around 9 AM. He sustained a brain injury so severe that it left him completely unresponsive. Presently, he is unable to speak or move his limbs voluntarily, and his cognitive functions are paralyzed. He is currently on a feeding tube, facing the possibility of remaining so for the rest of his life.

Our friend Jina Yoo is fighting to keep his recovery going. Known for her culinary skills, her high spirits and her generosity, Jina is in need our our help to take care of Andrew. His medical bills have become prohibitive in costs. To date, Jina has spent about $120,000 from her life savings. There are a lot more costs to come...

To help Jina and Andrew, we ask that you please consider giving whatever your heart allows to assist Jina and her son on their journey to get him stabilized. Andrew's recovery will never be complete. But we do hope that science and the universe will allow Andrew (and Jina) to arrive at a degree of health where we will see Andrew able to function to the best of his abilities. The ultimate goal is to see Andrew out of medical facilities and start to live as close to a functioning life as possible.
