JJ Blake's Memorial Fund for His Family

Our son, JJ Blake was tragically taken from us on December 1st due to medical complications while hospitalized. JJ was only 25 years old. He was a bright light in many people’s lives.

JJ came into our family as a foster child when he was 3 years old. He was born with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities. We legally adopted him when he was 4 years old. Because of his cerebral palsy, JJ suffered from developmental and physical disabilities, as well as other disabilities identified during adulthood, but he fought to rise above these.

JJ’s greatest joy in life was high school. He had many friends and teachers who loved him. He always wished he could go back to those great times as his adult life became much more difficult for him.

JJ’s parents (Josh and Krysta Blake) and his three younger brothers (Angel, Cameron, and Jayce) now face an unimaginable loss. Our family was already experiencing financial stress and now has unexpected funerary expenses to pay. As we go through this difficult time, we respectfully ask our friends and family for financial help with these costs and in celebrating JJ’s life.
