After fighting a courageous battle with cancer for nearly three years, my mother, Karen, passed away on December 31, 2014. Included in her wishes going forward were for both teenage sons to attend college down the road.
For those of you who know my aspirations of one day attending college in or near NASCAR's hub of Charlotte, NC, and eventually working in the NASCAR industry in the public relations field, college will be key in achieving my dreams.
My brother, Luke, will also be attending college within in the next five years. While he's figuring out his future plans, college will be a critical step in him getting there.
In my mother's final hours, I reminded her of my dreams, and told her that's what my future held. My college journey will soon begin, and any help you could provide would be very much appreciated to me, and my entire family.
