Lawrence Harold Moodie-Chartrand Memorial

On Monday June 22nd, 2020, our dear friends, Paul Chartrand and Andrea Moodie had the best/worst day of their lives when they delivered their beautiful baby boy, Lawrence Harold Moodie-Chartrand at 7:50am. The day earlier, they had gone to the hospital concerned that they had not felt their baby moving and learned that Lawrence had passed away. Lawrence may not have had a long life, but he was loved deeply and always will be. In the words of his parents:
“He was so perfect. He had my [Andrea’s] nose and hair and Paul’s beautiful symmetrical face and huge feet. We got to spend the entire day with him Monday. It was the best/worst day of our lives. We love him so much and always will.
The OB that delivered Lawrence said that it takes some people 80 or 90 years to fulfill their purpose in life but it takes some much less time. Lawrence fulfilled his purpose of making us parents and we will forever be grateful for that.”
We wanted to help Paul and Andrea create a memorial that is meaningful to them in Lawrence’s name so his life is never forgotten. A decision on exactly what kind of memorial/foundation/etc. to create hasn’t been made but we wanted to provide Paul and Andrea the opportunity and funds to create something special. In addition, we wanted to support them with costs associated with funeral, self-care, and family planning expenses.
Some friends, family, and loved ones may have already planted trees or made donations to Baby’s Breath Canada in his honour or maybe you’ve sent a thoughtful message or brought over some food; no matter how you’ve decided to show your support, I know it is greatly appreciated. Let’s continue to support this beautiful couple by remembering sweet baby Lawrence.
