JJSE Motorcycle Mechanics Program
Tax deductible
We're excited for you to financially collaborate with us!
The mission of Small Schools for Equity is to support social justice education in San Francisco and beyond through professional development for educators and leadership development for youth.
Proudly located in the southeast side of San Francisco, June Jordan School for Equity and Social Justice (JJSE) serves predominantly working class communities of color. The mission of JJSE is not just to prepare students for college but also to prepare our graduates to be agents of positive change in the world. We believe students should be active in driving their own learning. Learn more about our community here .
Now that you know something about our community, it is a joy to announce that we will be creating SFUSD's only Motorcycle Mechanics Program and Motor Cross Trail, located at June Jordan School for Equity and, right in our own backyard, at John McLaren Park.
As a pilot program, started with only a few students in 2019, our motorcycle mechanics program has since grown in size and so we are looking forward to expanding our program.
If you are interested in looking at some of the types of items we will include in our program, check out our Amazon motorcycle materials wishlist.
In addition to the items on our wish-list, we are planning on purchasing and converting shipping containers to use as our classroom and shop spaces, as well as the materials to help us build and maintain our facility.
For more info about our current accomplishments, 5-year vision, and/or materials you can share with others, feel free to contact the instructor, Andre Higginbotham at the following email: [email redacted]
