Friends of Frankie

Four years ago, this brave, sweet boy and his beautiful family walked into my kindergarten classroom and our Prairie Hill School hearts. Frankie and the Zverina family have shown us the true meaning of perseverance in their daily challenges with epilepsy. Frankie was diagnosed with epilepsy at 18 months old, and his family has been there to support him every step of the way with love, grit, and grace, three words that describe our Frankie to a tee. Now it’s our turn friends. Frankie will be having Right Temporal Anterior Resection of his brain on May 30th, in the hopes of diminishing his seizures. His mother Agnes will be home by his side during his recovery and unable to work as she helps Frankie heal and get back to the things he loves most: school, board games, family movie nights, and his dogs. His father Zdenek will also be losing work time to be there for their entire family, including Frankie’s sister Helen. If ever there has been a family that deserves to be free of financial worry as our Fierce Frankie heals, it is the Zverinas. Thank you all, AND just look at that smile☝.
