Sophie Huntsman Medical Fund

Sophie has a heart defect, Atrioventricular septal defects (AVSD). She has a hole between her Atrium, a hole between her Ventricles, one AV valve instead of two. She is basically missing the whole middle section of her heart.  To correct this defect, she will need open heart surgery.

Sophie was born 3 weeks early on September 18 2014. She is beautiful and sassy and has had a plan of her own from the very beginning. Sophie has been very different from the other cases of AVSD and has been very symptomatic since birth. But has continued to be a light in her families lives and a sweet and special spirit.

On December 9th she was admitted into Primary Children's Hospital and has been there ever since. She has progressively needed more and more help to stay stable. She was supposed to have her surgery on December 29 but got a bacterial infection and surgery has been delayed.

It has been a long and painful journey for the Huntsman family.  Donations of any size will be so greatly appreciated by Logan, Kirsten and baby Sophie, and will go straight to paying off medical bills. Thank you for helping out this wonderful family any way you can!
