Debbie Martinez Eye surgery

2020 has been especially hard on Debbie and her family. She has suffered from diabetes fro most of her life and was diagnosed with a brain tumor four years ago. She has been taking medication to manage those two medical conditions but then in April 2020 suffered a heart attack. Her husband was furlough from his job in May 2020 , which means he lost their medical coverage. She has since struggled to support her family with only a part time job. The mounting cost of her insulin, medication to keep the brain tumor from growing and heart medication has become too much stress for Debbie to manage alone. It has now caused the blood vessels in her right eye to burst. She has almost completely lost vision in her right eye and slowly losing it in her left eye. She is losing ability to drive and struggles to keep up with the computer tasks at her job. In order to correct her vision, she needs to be seen by the Retina eye center in Houston and the first visit could cost up to $600 and the cost of the procedure is still not known. I feel like $2000 will cover the costs of travel, medications, missing work, and hopefully the doctor visits and procedure
Anyone who knows Debbie knows she is the first to offer her help to anyone in need. She has a huge heart fro her family and friends and she never asks for anything in return and most certainly won't ask fro help when she needs it. I've known Debbie for 10+ years and have seen her struggle to keep her family afloat while silently dealing with her medical issues.
Please consider helping our friend in this difficult time in her life. Her family and I thank you in advance for whatever you can contribute big or small.
