Time to pay it forward

Hi my name is Bill Fenerty, an old friend of Bill Schneider. If you have ever been to Brigantine, had an election night Turkey dinner, enjoyed a God burger at Summerfest, had food at a SAL BBQ, enjoyed a Thursday night dinner at the American Legion or used the bathroom at the Elks....you know Bill Schneider.

Bill has been a volunteer at the Elks, a member and volunteer at the Legion as well as at the SAL where he served as Secretary Commander. Likewise, he has volunteered at the VFW and supported all military fundraisers. He was a member of the Wednesday night golf league and played Friday nights with his 'golf wife'. Bill did so much to support the Community Presbyterian Church behind the scenes, keeping the heat on and even shoveling your walks during snow storms.

Together with his wife Pam, they have devoted most of their free time to serve others. Bill is the proud owner of Bill Schneider Plumbing with his son Steven as his right hand. Many of you have seen his white truck around the island.

On June 21st, Bill suffered from a stroke which has left him unable to walk and use his right side. He is presently struggling to communicate and cannot eat or drink by mouth. He is currently at Magee rehab in Philadelphia and all the prayers and thoughts of love have carried him this far. In spite of Bill's feisty determination to fully recover, he still has a long road to recovery ahead of him with looming expenses and no income to sustain their family.

I ask all of you to be generous to a man who was relentlessly giving of his time and talents. All donations will go toward getting Bill back on his feet. He is only willing to let me do this if he could donate back anything beyond his personal needs.
