Run for Ian Anderson House

Hi my name is Emma Muldoon and I am participating in 4 mile Boxing Day run on December 26, 2015 in Hamilton, ON. I am trying to raise money for the Ian Anderson House a hospice located in Oakville,ON. I want to donate as much money as possible to the Ian Anderson House, in memory of my Aunt Carol who passed away in October.
Carol Muldoon was a very loving daughter, a dear wife and the best Aunt anyone could ever ask for. For a couple years she had been putting up a great fight with cancer but unfortunately she passed late evening October 5, 2015. Her last few days were spent at the Ian Anderson House; where she was treated with great care. The workers at the home gave my family the loving support that we needed during that hard time.
The Ian Anderson House is the first in resident cancer hospice that offers care without charge and quality end of palliative care by trained medical professionals. They provide round the clock care, to the special needs of every patient in the house. They are a non profit, who seek out funding solely from donations from individuals, clubs, businesses and foundations.
In memory of my aunt Carol, I am participating in this race in hopes to raise awareness of this lovely hospice that runs mainly on volunteers and donations. I want to give back to the people who where there for my aunt Carol and my family during that difficult time in her life. The staff at the Ian Anderson House help families through this difficult time every day and do it with so much compassion and caring.
For this reason I am hoping that I can raise a goal of 2,000 dollars to give to them. By donating you would be helping this great cause and I know my Aunt would appreciate it!
