Uganda Service Trip with Imprint Hope

Donation protected
Hi Friends and Family!

Joe and Francesca are going to Uganda this summer to serve at Imprint Hope! Imprint Hope is a non-profit located in Jinja, Uganda and the surrounding areas, serving children with disabilities and their families. It was founded by a former member of the St. Paul's Young Adult community, Clare Byrne, who now lives full-time in Uganda, running the organization and providing incredible service to the community. We are raising money for our program fee. Any extra proceeds will be donated to Imprint Hope directly. Please consider donating.

More About Imprint Hope:

Imprint Hope was founded in 2016 to serve the most marginalized of Ugandan society…children with disabilities. Our vision is for a society where each person is valued because of their inherent human dignity, where each child is loved for the precious gift of God that they are.

Imprint Hope works to create this culture of life and dignity by educating communities on childhood disability, providing medical and rehabilitative services, and empowering caretakers through knowledge and job creation.

Imprint Hope welcomes families to our Center of Healing Hearts & Restoring Hope. Our unique approach focuses on building trust, education, and providing the tools for each family to care for their children. Additionally, our community outreach has Ugandans teaching Ugandans the truth about disabilities, and despite differences in appearance, each child is worthy of love.

In 2021, Imprint Hope continued to grow and reach more families & impact the community.

Hearts healed and restored to truth - immeasurable!
We had 25 families attend our 7-week program in 2021 and we’re currently hosting our first intake of 2022!

Our mission is one we cannot do alone, but with your generosity and the support of many who believe in our vision, we can continue our work of transforming lives and giving children hope.

During our time in Uganda, our team will spend some of our time in Kangulumira where Imprint Hope has a farm. We will assist with preparing the land for a new crop rotation, making repairs to the orchards, and completing projects in anticipation of the bore hole drilling that will take place during our visit. The St. Paul’s community is sponsoring this project and we get to help with it on the ground! This project will bring solar power and water to the land, and it’s a necessary step towards building a permanent center for Imprint Hope on this land—in a region where most of the Imprint Hope families reside.

In addition to this work on the land, we will spend our afternoons at Imprint Hope Center in Jinja assisting the staff with daily tasks, looking after the children, and teaching classes to the mommas in the program as guest speakers.
