JMM 2024 Travel Fund: Support Sara (Goal Reached)

Hi, this is Sara Sameer from Karachi, Pakistan. My research proposal entitled 'A Physics-Informed Model Predicting Cycle Life of Lithium-ion Batteries,' which I collaborated on with three other colleagues during the RIPS Summer Program at UCLA, has been accepted for the poster session at the prestigious Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM) conference. This conference will take place in person from January 3rd to January 7th, 2024, in San Francisco. JMM conference is known for featuring groundbreaking research and attracting top mathematicians from around the world.

This is an incredible opportunity for me to present my research, connect with fellow mathematicians, and further my academic and professional growth. However, I face a significant challenge when it comes to covering the associated travel expenses. Regrettably, the travel grants for this conference are limited to U.S. citizens, and as an international candidate, securing the necessary funds independently is proving to be a daunting task.

The good news is that Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics will cover my hotel accommodation and conference registration fee, which is a great relief.
