Lindsey Partridge's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Sept 30 Update from Melissa:
It’s been 14 days since we thought we might lose Lindsey. She’s had many scans, had her pain barely managed with narcotics, and has demonstrated many of the different and difficult symptoms on a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

We’re happy to report that on Wednesday night she was discharged from hospital in Pennsylvania, and with her Mum and Dad, started the journey home. We thank God for this, and believe that her healing is a gift.

On Thursday she was reunited with James and the girls, as well as a short, tearful reunion with her sister Melissa.
Lindsey has met with her Dr, and is being referred to a brain injury clinic for rehabilitation and support.

So what’s next? Lindsey is learning how to remember, learning the extent of her injuries, and starting to learn her limits. Much of her business is still on hold, or being managed by her family. Thanks for your grace and understanding in this. She’s chomping at the bit to get back at it, but is seeing the amount of rest and healing she still needs.

We are so thank for all of the support of her community. It’s been overwhelming and encouraging to see so many who are cheering her on.

Your gracious donations are being used for care at home, support tools, therapeutic rehabilitation, and to help with bills that Lindsey can’t work to cover.

Thank you so much. We deeply appreciate your continued support.

———————————————————

Hi everyone, my name is Jessica and I’m fundraising on behalf of my sweet friend Lindsey Partridge, and her family, to help pay both hospital bills and her inevitable road to recovery.

On Saturday morning, September 16th, while practicing for the freestyle competition at the Devil's Garden Mustang Challenge in Pennsylvania, Lindsey suffered serious injuries after a very bad fall. Thankfully, Lindsey was wearing a helmet like she always does. Lindsey currently has a traumatic brain injury and is in an extreme amount of pain, and she is currently being closely monitored in the ICU.

Lindsey's basic medical bills will be covered, however, we anticipate ongoing expenses with therapy, tools and resources for recovery, adaptive support, care for her daughters, and lost wages as she cannot currently teach and train. The days ahead will help us know a bit better what all of this will look like for her.

Thank you for coming here to this space to follow up on our Lindsey, and to donate towards her recovery.

Please stay tuned for updates. Her sister, Melissa, is keeping the Partridge Horse Hill Instagram up-to-date as best she can, and will be taking any questions via email: [email redacted]
