Joe Donohue

Hello everyone,

On behalf of joes friends in the Order of Malta, we have decided to create this fundraising page for our dear friend Joe, who was a pillar of the Mullingar unit and the region. Joe provided invaluable support with logistics management and planning for numerous events throughout Ireland.

Sadly, in February 2021, Joe passed away and to pandemic restrictions, many members who wished to attend Joe's funeral were unable to do so. Recently, at a national event, Joe's name was mentioned, and members expressed their desire to do something to honour his memory.

As a result, we have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for a headstone and surround for Joe's grave. We have received permission from Joe's extended family to raise these funds, as Joe always said, we were his second family. We appreciate any support you can provide.

Once we have raised the amount and the headstone in place, we would like to invite you all down for a memorial mass and refreshments with a date to be set.
