Spaceward Bound Mars Mission: Winter travel gear

Hi friends and fellow Space Education freaks,

I'm about to be the first Australian to attend a NASA-funded 'Spaceward Bound' Education-focused mission at the Mars Society's 'Mars Desert Research Station' in Utah! (http://mdrs.marssociety.org).

It's going to be an amazing chance to learn from other Mars Educators and to build on all I've learned from the other Aussie's who've done MDRS missions in the past.

BUT:

A. I don't have the winter clothing needed for a week potentially in the snow, and

B. the surging US dollar has put a big dent in my trip fund

SO I'm reaching out to this community for some small assistance.

PLEDGE 1: I promise to overload you with progress pics and updates from the mission.

PLEDGE 3: I will incorporate all I learn into future student workshops as well as a planned book with the X-Factor/APACsplash crew
