HEALTH CRISIS HAS NO BORDERS!

From Philippines and India to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Jamaica and Zimbabwe, and now Bahamas there are healthcare crisis almost in every country in the world exacerbated by natural and man-made disasters.

NURSES, DOCTORS AND OTHER HEALTH WORKERS RESPOND—We come together and formed Fostering Aide thru Health Workers Alliance (FAHWA) started by Filipino American Health Workers Association. 

We are volunteers who are members of healthcare unions and non-union nurses including medical doctors, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and union organizers. We have over 600 nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, social workers, physical therapists, pharmacists and other healthcare workers who have offered to volunteer their time and skills.


As of December 202021, our volunteers have served over 10,000 patients and their families providing free medical services and medicine in several remote areas in the Philippines, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Mexico.


So far in 2019, FAHWA co-sponsored 8 medical missions in many countries including India, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Jamaica and the Philippines.
