Jo Ann (VanDyke) Loehr cardiac rehabilitation
Donation protected
Jo Ann Van Dyke Loehr has been involved with the American Kennel Club and the world of dog shows for as long as I can remember. I have been a close friend of hers since 1985 and recall her showing multiple dachshunds and working breeds to their championships and beyond, since those early years. She has always shown superb sportsmanship and has always been the one to step up and assist all with either taking dogs in the ring, or holding ringside, or doing a phenomenal job hand-striping wire coated breeds. Jo Ann has always been a most compassionate friend and a dear friend to many and in multiple breeds. She is one of the most giving souls the sport has ever known and she truly idolizes dogs and loves the very essence of this sport and the benefit it has had and will continue to have in future generations.
Recently, Jo Ann, went through a quadruple bypass with high complications. She’s currently hospitalized at the Cleveland Clinic of Stuart, Florida and will hopefully be transferred very soon to an appropriate rehabilitation facility to be better assisted with the complications that she has suffered post surgery. She will kill me for sharing this with you, but she’s in her 80s and the few close friends that are helping her out through these tough times, myself included, worry about the type of care that she will receive. This is the one and only time, the sport and her friends can be of assistance to raising funds so that she can be admitted to a proper rehabilitation facility. I kindly ask you to help me raise the necessary funds so that can happen, as it would mean the world to Jo Ann, to be able to return home, to her dog and her beloved birds and turtles. Her dream is to gain strength, get rehabilitated properly, return home and make a few more dog shows among the true loves of her life, the dogs and the dog showing world that she so loves. It took a huge battle for her to be convinced to allow me to start this fundraiser for her as she’s a very proud and self sufficient lady that has always stood on her two feet.
I thank you for your time and I invite you to kindly see with me, Jo Ann’s dreams come true.
Respectfully,
John
