Support to get Jo home, adaptations to home.

Hi everyone, I'm jo, I'm 42 years old, 3 years ago I became very poorly, I was told that it was long covid, 12 months later I was diagnosed with a very rare blood cancer called Amyloidosis, I had chemotherapy for this and was in remission after 6 months. In February 2023 I was told that the cancer had damaged my heart so badly that I needed a heart transplant, I had this done in March 2023. I experienced some rejection in November 2023 and was admitted to hospital in Birningham, I live in lancashire so I was a good 3 hours away from my family. Whilst I was in hospital they discovered that the cancer was back. I was discharged 2 days before Christmas with a plan in place for further chemotherapy. On the 4th January I was found unconscious in my living room, I was taken straight to intensive care at my local Hospital, I was then transferred to Birmingham intensive care. I had caught the flu. I spent 7 months at hospital with numerous complications, as I was so far away i wasn't able to see my family very often. I have a husband who I have been with for 21 years, we have a 20 year old son, a 16 year old son and a 7 year old little girl. When i was discharged from hospital on the 11th June, I had to be discharged to my mums property due to mine being a 3 storey house and the living area and bathroom is on the middle floor, I am unable to climb the stairs as my mobility is very limited, it will decrease even more when I start my chemotherapy again in the next few weeks. I have asked the council for help but the wait for an occupational therapist assessment is 3 months and then they have upto 6 months to make a desicion if I can have a grant and then a stairlift would be fitted. I have found a local company who will provide a starlift for an initial payment of £500 then I can rent it for £50 per month. Due to everything I have had to give up my job and my husband who works full time has had to take lots of time off work unpaid. All our savings have been used over the last 12 months. I just want to go home and be with my children and family so I'm asking please if anyone could help me raise the funds for the initial £500 it would mean the world to myself and my family, we've been apart for so long and I want to just go home be settled and enjoy my time with them. The only thing stopping this happening a flight of stairs.
