Hi, my name is Matt Rossman and last night I lost my wife of 20 years. She was my best friend. My confidant. My nurse. My guide. And she was called home to God.
She had been struggling for more than a week with what we thought was a virus. She agreed to go to the hospital yesterday as her breathing was getting worse and she was having difficulty even standing. The ED staff had me leave after I had gotten her through triage as she was unable to speak for herself. I kissed her goodbye, but I had no idea it would be for the last time.
The emergency physician called me last night in tears to tell me that they did everything they could to save her. But she had a massive blood clot throughout her pulmonary arteries into every branch/lobe. It was too late.
I recently started a new job and I'm not eligible for life insurance for myself/family until February, we never thought to set up a policy on our own.
Jo spent her life in the service of others. She was a woman of tremendous faith. She taught Bible study and did one-on-one teaching at all hours; helping bring many people find their path to faith. She was so good about checking in on people in good times and tough ones. She lived to serve and help her friends, her community, and even complete strangers. So I am asking for help. Please help me give my wife a proper service.
Jo, I will miss you always and forever. The sun will never shine as bright without you.
