Joah Merrifield Medical Expense~STT
Donation protected
My name is VeronaCeleste Hutchinson, and I am creating this GoFundMe page on behalf of Joah Merrifield. I was asked to do so with the permission of his parents.
On Monday, August 3, 2015, Joah suffered a near-fatal swimming accident, while attending our Regional Youth Camp in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola. This was within an hour of his being crowned Mister Youth Camp 2015. Joah has been a healthy 17-yr old male who loves the Lord! He attends the Abba's Love #20 Gamle Gade COGOP (in Savan) on the island of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, where he currently serves as the Assistant Youth Leader.
He is a Senior & honor student at Charlotte Amalie High School and a member of the National Honor Society. His hobbies include: playing the drums, piano, & steel pan; singing; designing clothes & stages. Since Tuesday, August 4, he is being treated at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. You can probably imagine ALL of the expenses involved in this situation: having to be flown out from Tortola to Miami, the operation and subsequent daily care, and future rehabilitation. This is also impacted by family travel and his parent being unable to work due to being with him. The expenses of this family are mounting daily. His family needs our help during this time of distress. Yes, the earnest prayers that you have offered & continue to offer up on their behalf are greatly appreciated; however, let's take it one step further. Let us continue rallying around them, by helping to ease their financial burden, so that their main focus and concern can be on Joah and his complete healing. Any donation that you can give is welcomed and appreciated, and will help to offset the above-mentioned expenses and his future care.
On behalf of his family members: parents - Keith & Julie; siblings - Danna & Joash; and all his relatives, they thank you in advance for your financial support, as well as your continued prayers, kind words, support, and well-wishes. They praise God for his miraculous intervention on behalf of Joah!!
As one of his friends posted on his FB page on Thursday, August 6 @ 5:10pm, "I expect to see you walking on Intro Night! Get better soon! ♥” That is our sincere hope and prayer, that Joah be 100% completely healed, in the name of Jesus. God is able to do what He says He will do!!
Once again, please consider giving a sacrificial contribution to help defray the significant medical costs. Keep in mind that if this tragic accident were to have happened to your family, you might need the same help, so give as you would want others to give to you. God Bless each & every one of you, as you respond generously to this urgent appeal, and may your generosity be returned to you 100-fold!!!!
