Joan Arango & Family Medical Living Expense Fund

This fundraiser has been updated to reflect financial needs as mom begins the extensive rehabilitation process with home health care. This includes basic sanitary expenses/supplies, transportation (she requires medical transport), food, and other medical costs. My mom has good insurance but it does not cover anything and my father and I are her main caregivers 24/7 so I am unable to return to work at this time. Any gift is so appreciated and very needed! My name is Rachel and my mom, Joan, is currently in the ICU with a severe infection and multiple organ concerns. In addition to this sudden illness, she has a whole book of medical conditions as a disabled person. My father, Tim, is also a disabled veteran. My mother is a veteran as well. She has been hospitalized for going on 4 days now and, while she has very good medical insurance, we will be responsible for 20% of the bill. I have also had to take time off of work, obviously to be there for her but also to help my father. The prognosis is guarded and I am unsure when things will begin to show a light at the end of the tunnel. This fundraiser is to try to get ahead of possible medical bills and living expenses for my mom, my dad, and myself & my siblings as we help them as we will be needed to do. As of this moment, my family and I are ok but I wanted to get ahead of any foreseeable financial strain. We appreciate any amount anyone can donate and if you cannot donate, trust me, we understand.
