Joan Marcil's chemotherapy treatments

Many of you know me, Katherine Marcil, as Joan or Joanie's oldest daughter. In April of this year, Joan went into the hospital and after many test we received the official diagnosis. She has stage 4 B-cell lymphoma. Thankfully as cancers go, this one responds very well to the chemotherapy treatments, and with chemo she had a very good prognosis for recovery. She will need at least 6 sessions of chemo itself, as well as PET scans and CT scans.

Unfortunately, we recently received the bill for the first chemo treatment, and what we owe out of pocket is $1600. She needs at least 6 which means the lifesaving treatments are going to cost $10,000.

Joan has helped so many people and if anyone can spare anything, even $5, it will help with this burden

I admit I did not expect the amount of this outpouring of love!! I started this campaign out of desperation because I love my mother. To see that so many of you feel the same way truly touches my heart. A "thank you" seems like a slight almost to what you all have given me and my mom, but thank you. Thank you so so so much!
