Our company lost a giant, abruptly and unexpectedly, on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Joann Medina, our longest tenured employee, passed away, leaving an untarnished legacy of providing advocacy and hope to so many.
For 18 years, Joann unflinchingly helped thousands of people across the country who didn't have insurance find ways to get needed care and to cover the often overwhelming costs. She helped improve the lives of individuals, families and entire communities.
Joann's passions were her work and her family who she loved dearly. Always a matriarch and always of a friendly, nurturing demeanor, she was a devoted wife and mother who helped lead her family through some very difficult times and always celebrated the happy times.
Advanced Patient Advocacy grieves the loss of Joann and wants to help shoulder some of the burdens now faced by her family.
