To know Chelsea, Mike, Michael and especially JoAnna is to love them. The Negron family brings light and laughter and love into everyone's life that they touch. This year, the lightness and easiness of their family, has gotten dimmer and harder.
After beating Stage 0 Breast Cancer in 2010 with a double-mastectomy, the worst occurred. In March of 2023, JoAnna's cancer had returned, this time as Stage 4 Breast Cancer Metastasized to her Liver and Sternum. It was clear at this point, that the cancer would not be beaten, however maybe it could be thwarted and allow JoAnna to spend more time meaningfully with her family and loved ones.
JoAnna and her family have endured a long period of truly brutal treatment to try and hold on to her quality of life, and to extend her time here. There are many things to stick around for. Her son, Michael, is recently married to Alexa and embarking on their life together. Her daughter, Chelsea, is finally engaged to her high-school sweetheart Zachary and planning a wedding. And Mike, the love of her life and twin pillar of the family, has stayed beside her through it all.
Unfortunately, cancer is winning this round. In late November, JoAnna's health took a sharp turn for the worse and treatment was stopped. Since then, her health has only deteriorated faster, and we are at the end of the road. The Negron family has been banding together for JoAnna all year. All while still showing up for the ones they love for good times and bad. Now comes the time where we can show up for them.
To help lighten the load, I would like to raise the funds associated with a funeral so that when the time comes, the Negron family has one less thing to stress over.
Please share this and contribute whatever you may be able. If you can't contribute financially, please join me in offering your unwavering support for the family during this time. From the bottom of my heart, and the heart of the family, thank you.
