Joanna Pinedo

Hi, my name is Laura Pinedo. As Joanna’s sister, I have started this fundraiser to help cover the cost of her funeral and burial expenses.

On Saturday December 2nd I found my sister in her home in an unresponsive situation to say the least. Since that day forward our lives have been impacted in an imaginable way. After loosing my father to a tragic car accident we thought we were finally healing. But we once again find ourselves with another dark and heavy heartache.

Her passing leaves behind the family that she worked so hard to support emotionally, spiritually and physically. She leaves behind two children of ages 4 (pre-school) and 11 (junior high). Losing a Mom so unexpectedly is something unimaginable.

These babies will now ask why her. They will now grow up with a portion of their heart missing. No love will ever fill that empty space. No hug will cover their hurt. Every night they will go to sleep without getting tucked in and a kiss from their Mama. Joanna was a best friend to her children. She was the rock of the family. This family will never be the same without her and neither will anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her two children and family face the great tragedy to this unexpected loss with incredibly heavy hearts and irreparable grief.

Joanna was quite but if you knew her you knew she was also blunt. She hated to be center of attention but was the kind of women who could walk into a room and gain the entire focus of a room of strangers. She was a ambitious and caring. Joanna was respected and loved. She was a friend, a mother, a sister and so much more.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go first to covering her funeral expenses. If any money is left, the rest will go to supporting her children, Hades and Hazel through this tragic time.
