You may already be aware that JoAnne has been diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer. Currently she is considering palliative treatments to slow bone metastasis and assist with pain management.

To complicate matters, Jo broke her arm (upper arm bone) while trying to herd one of the cats. She spent about a week in the hospital after having a rod inserted to stabilize the bone. This has given her more flexibility and less pain.
