Jo-Anne's Story
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Phil, Jo-Anne was my wife until she took her own life in July 2023. I too attempted to take my life at the same time but I was unsuccessful. Jo-Anne was the victim of Grandparent Alienation, a particularly nasty form of elder abuse which is on the rise. I have written a book about Jo-Anne's life which needs to be published to raise awareness and help other elderly people in the same or similar circumstance to us. This form of abuse is directed to the elderly by family members who decide to have nothing more to do with the grandparents of their children as soon as their usefulness has come to an end. This is exactly what happened to us. One by one they cut us off from their lives and that of our 7 grandchildren. The last straw came from a text message we received from our youngest son after we had created a strong bond with our last grandchild. He was 3 years old at the time, (4 now). The book outlines all the lies and deceit, betrayal and manipulation levelled at us and is backed up by real evidence. It is a true story of Jo-Anne's life and one that is probably similar to many others. The hope is that by making this story public it just may save someone else from the path to self destruction. It may help others to reach out for help when everything seems so lost and hopeless before they turn to suicide. Jo-Anne's story deserves to be told and a relatively small donation will see the manuscript published. I have already done what I can afford. There is a Facebook page, Jo-Anne's Story and a website www.jo-annesstory.au You can read more about her life on line at these places. You can also download a copy of the unedited manuscript from Dropbox to determine if you think it's worth your support. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/glmwmg6xequ6gg8luc07b/My-book.docx?rlkey=2jpz2u5ffufzki1e4fmhuuup8&st=ivpko1cj&dl=0
If you have read this far, thank you. If you can help, thank you again.
