Job relocation to Denali National Park in Alaska

Hello, I come to you with a humble heart. I have been offered a job of a lifetime! I have been offered the position of “Training and Transportation Manager” for Denali National Park in Alaska. This is a true dream come true. I have been in Transit Transportation since 2014. I have driven Busses and Trains in Detroit, Northern Ohio, and DeKalb Illinois. I started off as a driver, and thru hard work and perseverance, I have moved my way up to Dispatcher, Trainer, Road Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, to now Training and Transit Manager of one of the most beautiful and largest National Parks in the US.

 

I am humbly asking for your support to make this journey to Alaska. I plan to relocate to Alaska. I have to be up there by April 13th, to start my position by April 14. Due to pre existing health conditions, and the fact that I’m relocating to Alaska, I cannot fly. The Alaska Ferry system is booked all the way thru May, and even if there was space available, it would cost over $6000 to use the ferry. Shipping my belongings up there alone will cost almost $4000, and I still would have to drive. The most economical way to execute this journey, would to drive thru Canada, up to Alaska.

 

I have already paid for, and am awaiting my passport so I can travel to Canada and arrive in Alaska. I am working full time, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to obtain enough money for the journey by myself. I need help.

The money would be used to pay for a towable Uhaul

Trailer so I can transport my belongings, Gas money for the 3,000 mile journey, the rental of a Satellite phone so I can keep in contact with my work and family, and food and lodging. There are spots in Canada that I will go at least 8 hours without a cell phone signal, so the rental of a Satellite phone is definitely needed to keep in contact and for emergencies.

 

Let me get this question out of the way: Will your new job help you relocate? The answer is no, because as of now, even though this position is a Management position, it is considered Seasonal, and the company policy does not allow for relocation assistance.
