Jocelyn Celebration of Life

Hi my name is Audrey Bowden, I appreciate you reading the story of my beautiful baby girl. Jocelyn Padilla Bowden went to heaven on Friday, 1/14, at 5:57 pm. and our world is shattered. The entire household caught Covid over the Christmas break despite trying to take all precautions to prevent this virus. I never imagined the nightmare that would unfold.

Anyone that met Jocelyn was swept away by her kind and giving personality. She had a way of always putting everybody first, even when she was hurting and fighting her own health issues. She was well known for always being positive, uplifting and focusing on everyone else’s happiness. Even on the covid unit, some of the nurses and doctors remembered her from when she was seen by them in the children’s unit, and all remarked that she was always extra sweet.

She had battled rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, eczema, and psoriasis since she was a small child. Even though she was sick and in pain, she has a spunky personality and sense of humor. She was a caretaker and overseer of her brothers and family. Her younger brothers were her best friends and she loved them deeply and defended them fiercely.

I knew her immune system was weak, and I tried so hard to keep her away from this evil sickness. I would do anything to trades places with her and do whatever else I could do to protect her from this virus!

I am a single mother of three and during all this our condo was flooded by someone doing renovation upstairs, so we are living in a hotel. I did not want to ask but many people are telling me I should post this to help me be able to have a celebration of life for Jocelyn. I want to celebrate her life with flowers, smiles, joy, and happiness because that is what she deserves and that is what she would have loved.
