Jodie during her fight with Cancer

Hi, my name is Marium and I am fundraising for my friend Jodie Rhodes. On June 8th Jodie was diagnosed with 2 different types of cancer. her left lung has Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer which has been treated with radiation already. Her other lung has Adenocarcinoma Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes. She is currently going through radiation and chemotherapy for that side. She hasn't been able to work since the day she was diagnosed and was not expecting to have to retire until she reached retirement age. She is very lucky that she can keep her health insurance through her employer and still has her job that she hopes to be able to return to after treatment is complete. She is very fortunate that she has access to MD Anderson the best cancer treatment in the United States. After Chemo and radiation, she will then have immunotherapy treatments for the next year depending on the results of the treatments she is currently going through. Unfortunately, cancer doesn't care if you have a job and a family or that your mortgage is due. Between commuting to/from MD Anderson Cancer Center daily plus the copayments and all the other expenses that go along with it she is in need of some financial help. Asking for help is difficult for everyone and Jodie has kept her cancer battle very private. However, at this time she needs some help. Dealing with insurance companies and all the other stresses especially the pain and suffering that cancer treatment does to a person has taken a toll on her physically and financially. If you can find it in your heart to help her it would be so appreciated. We also are asking for prayers that the treatment is working, and she will come out on the other side cancer free. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she faces the biggest battle of her life.
