In Loving Memory of Jodie Michelle Simmons

October 30th, 1983 - May 24th, 2023

On Wednesday morning, May 24th, at 8:45, our hearts were shattered as we said goodbye to Jodie Michelle Simmons, a remarkable person whose life was cut short unexpectedly. Surrounded by her family and loved ones, we held hands, shared prayers, and whispered our final goodbyes. Though tremendously painful we all had a sense that God was present and working in, around and through us. Jodie’s legacy lives on through her five incredible children: Cody, Kylie, Cayden, Kinsley, and Grace.

Jodie possessed a heart that was truly filled with compassion for others, the type of heart that would easily place their needs above her own. She had an unwavering determination and intellect that, if fully applied, could have propelled her to achieve remarkable things in life. If you knew Jodie you also knew her spirit held a little mischievous spark, and a touch of sass was in most of her conversations. After all she was a Simmons! Jodie weathered the storms of a challenging life, enduring tremendous hardships, yet her resilience remained unyielding. She was working tirelessly to rebuild her life, hoping for the day when she would once again be united with her precious children. Her heart longed for them, for freedom, family, and peace.

As we mourn her loss, we want to invite you to join us in honoring Jodie's memory by extending a helping hand to not only lay her to rest but assist her children. In the wake of this tragedy, her family and children are truly grieving and need your assistance. Your compassion and support will offer them a glimmer of hope.

Together, we can not only ensure that Jodie has a final resting place but a place we can all come to visit from time to time, shed some tears and have a laugh recalling our fondest memories.
