Jodi's Medical Bills

Our Loss:

On Sunday, September 6th we lost our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend.  Jodi A. Welsch was called to heaven on that day. I purposely called out each of her titles, as she wore many hats.  Every hat she wore, was for family and friends.  She LOVED her all of her families, no matter the relation.

Her Love:

You did not have to know her well or even at all to know she was your friend.  Her smile and hug told you instantly you were part of her life as family.  She adored every person she met.  She asked for nothing in return.  It was hard not to smile back when she would smile and stared at you.  You see, she would stare at you so she would remember that smiling moment as brief as it may be.  But that is what she wanted, a happy moment.

Jodi loved every family member she met or raised.  She pulled us out of dark places.  She mentored us to righteous ways.  She would help you before you even thought of asking.  She was a true family member..., correction she was family.

Her Battle:

For those of you who did not know, she was diagnosed with fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD).  This is a rare disease where patients have abnormal cellular growth in the walls of their medium and large arteries.  She has had several procedures done in the past few years to help reduce the cell build up.  Consequentially, she has been placed on high blood pressure medicine to help reduce the effects of this.

Her Passing:

The weekend started out with a bike ride up Crandon.  She loved to ride her new Harley Davidson.  Bob was playing near by, which inspired a bike ride to the gig.  As the band was getting ready to go on stage dJodi felt something wrong... she was having extreme pain in her jaw. She took her b/p and it was sky high. Her meds were back at the hotel so a family friend got her in the car and they headed back to the hotel. Bob and Andy had to get on stage to play. As Jodi was on her way to the hotel they came to an intersection and Jodi said she had to get to the hospital and that this was something different.  They were able to flash down a sherrif and an ambulance was called. She was told she was having a massive heart attack.  She was immediately transported by flight-for-life from that hospital to Wausau's hospital.  This is where they discovered her massive heart attack was due to a foreign object in her coronary artery.  They removed a 3/4inch long clear/white substance/object  from her artery.  This foreign object was still being sent in for analysis report.

Throughout the weekend she was showing signs of improvement.  They did not see any other blockages in her arteries.  Sunday, she felt much better and was released from the hospital and on her way home.  En route home, they stopped in Chilton and her daughter was going to pick her up continue taking her home.  She was around her second family -- the band family -- sharing her ordeal of a weekend when she collapsed and was taken to the hospital where she passed away.

Our Concerns:

The bills for this weekend has not been received at the creation of this message.  However, we are still paying for the previous surgeries.  We are expecting a heavy bill.  She was transported by three ambulances, a flight for life transport, and surgery.  All of which will be overwhelming.  Its hard for us to ask for your help today.  The medical bills from her struggles are coming and simply we cannot afford to pay them.   Anything you can help donate will be greatly appreciated.

Our Love:

Thank you for visiting.  Even if you cannot send a donation, we thank you for reading and sharing our love.  All of our hearts ache as she has touched many people.  To her, they all touched her heart.  We have had our grieving moments, but please think of how she would have wanted us to be.

Knowing Jodi; she would tell us,  "its all right", "brighter days are to come" and remind us that we can pull through this. She would smile as large as possible, chuckle and tell us something funny that occurred at the hospital this weekend that made her laugh. She was always optimistic and looked at the brighter side and kept it light. This is my greatest memoir of her.

God bless you, God's speed Jodi
