Jody and Ashley Webb in need of help!!!
So, this Thursday (06/27/19) started out as any normal day would. Jody got up getting ready for work and Ashley was still asleep. Ashley was woken by Jody stating call 911 “I’m dying”. Ashley called 911 and they took Jody to the Tanner Medical Center in Bremen. As the paramedics was working with Jody his heart rate continues to climb higher and higher. At 1 point his resting heart rate was over 200 beats per minute, and his B/P was steady dropping it was 60/40 when he arrived at Higgins (Tanner). Now guys this is like running a car at 500 MPH and never stopping it will blow the engine. Jody was in the process of dying! When the doctors, paramedics and nurses finally got him stable enough to have a CT scan we found out he had two pulmonary embolisms (Blood clots in the lungs). Then they said also possibly a mild heart attack, oh and he is also septic (infection of the blood). The wind has just been knock out of Ashley and Jody. Then the doctor comes in and lets us know they would be sending Jody to Atlanta for further treatment per the nurse “we cannot treat this type of problem” He also said, “Jody you are a sick man”. Then we got news that Jody would be going to Northside Hospital in Atlanta (the best by far in my opinion) and let me add that he was life flighted to NS. When he arrived, they place him directly in ICU and started working with him. The next thing we knew he is being prepped for a procedure to try to dissolve the clots in a 12-24 period. The procedure worked and when he arrived back in the room his breathing was some better and his heart rate was coming down slowly, but it was coming down. Now what I have not shared with you all is that the reason why he was sent by helicopter… The reason being was one of the blood clots was getting ready to hit his heart, one bump in the road or lapse in timing would have been the death of him. He is only 31 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. He has a long rad to recovery and Ashley is trying to work and take care of him. These two very caring and giving to all that needs help. Guys it’s now our turn to help them out. Jody nor Ashley has any type of medical insurance. They will need all the help they can get with the after care and help with other expenses that will occur. You see just the medicine alone when he comes home from the hospital will be more than $300 and that the cheapest one. The normal bills of life ex. Lights, gas, water, rent, and Dr appointments (Lord knows that won’t be cheap) Family and Friends Ashley is doing all she can. Help in any way is welcomed and much needed. If this was one of you all, these two would be the first ones to stand up and help. THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!
