Joe and Fina Cordova's fight against Covid-19
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
On November 5, 2020 both my parents, Joe and Fina Cordova, were hospitalized in Lubbock as they were both struggling to breathe due to Covid-19. My Mom was put on antibiotics and regular nasal cannula oxygen. On November 11th, she was discharged and sent home. My Dad was stable and put on a high flow nasal cannula, but on November 10th he took a turn for the worse. He was moved to ICU, sedated and put on a ventilator. A few days passed and the Doctors told us he wouldn't make it. They said it would be a miracle if he did. We, as a family, told the Doctors to keep caring for our Dad. Only God knew what was to come.
My Dad is a devout christian, loving husband, father and a beloved pastor. He is a great man of God that loves his family, friends, and church members. He truly lives to serve others.
My Dad was on the ventilator for 36 days. On December 16th, he was taken off the ventilator. He is a fighter. As of today, he is progressing daily and continues to fight to get better. He will need to be sent to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy to gain strength and full function of his body. I am setting up this fundraiser to help both my Mom and Dad with medical bills, travel expenses and any other expenses my Dad may need to help care for him on this long road to recovery. If you are able to help my Mom and Dad financially we appreciate it. My Mom has not been back to work because she has been by my Dad's side. The last thing I want is for my parents to worry about finances. The outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this time has been much appreciated. I ask that you continue to keep my Dad in your thoughts and prayers as we trust God for his total healing.
Phillipians 4:6-7: Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
