Joe Crossmon's Transplant Journey

Hi, my name is Katie (aka Joe's sister) My brother, Joe Crossmon, recently shared what he is going through. He has ILD ( Interstitial lung disease). Since June it has rapidly progressed and he had to start using oxygen therapy. His lungs continued to go through a big flare up causing him to need more and more oxygen to keep his levels up. He is now at the Cleveland Clinic and has been told he needs a double lung transplant. We are grateful he was a good candidate for this procedure and has been placed on the transplant list. He will stay at the hospital until his surgery and additional weeks afterwards to recover. Once he is home he will have great deal of healing to do.

We are so grateful for all the kind words & prayers we have received from friends, family, & our community thus far. We've also had so many people reach out asking what they can do to help. This is the beginning of his journey so my goal is to take as much stress off Joe and his family as possible so that he can focus his energy on recovery. They have a baby girl due in November and will need to take time off as a family to get through this together.
