Joe Exotic will crash your Zoom call for charity
Donation protected
Hey all you cool cats and kittens! Joe Exotic here! (sort of)
How's quarantine going? Is the initial fun of those Zoom calls starting to wear off? Have you already binge-watched "Tiger King" and analyzed it to death with all of your friends? Side-note, Carole totally killed her husband. Not my opinion. Just fact. Anyway...
If social distancing has you bored, I have just the recipe for spicing up your humdrum shelter-in-place life with a special cameo on your next Zoom call!
For $100 that will be donated to multiple nonprofits supporting hospitality worker relief, I will commandeer your Zoom call for approximately 5 minutes in character as Joe Exotic...wait...I mean...as myself! This includes a bit of banter in an Oklahoman accent, followed by a brief performance of my hit song "I Saw a Tiger" before I have to skedaddle back to federal prison.
Donations of smaller amounts sans performance will also be gratefully accepted. To schedule a time for your Zoombombing, please select the "Contact" button at the bottom of the page next to the Organizer information.
If you'd like to turn your next mundane virtual meeting or wine-infused Zoom happy hour into something truly memorable while supporting a good cause, please reach out to schedule a performance.
About the Organizations:
All proceeds will be donated to The James Beard Foundation Food and Beverage Industry Relief Fund and the Craft Brewery Employee Assistance Relief Campaign (part of the Brewers Association's Drink Local Think Global mission). The purpose of the these relief funds is to provide financial assistance to independent restaurants and breweries impacted by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) national disaster. The goal is to provide for workers, sustain local business, reduce the financial impact on communities, and otherwise mitigate the severe economic consequences of this global pandemic.
About the Organizer:
I'll be honest, I'm not actually Joe Exotic. I just play him on Zoom calls! My name is Chris Luecke, the host of the global craft beer podcast Pubcast Worldwide. I started my career working in both the hospitality and beer industries. Through my podcast, I'm still very connected to the food & beverage world and want to do my part to give back to the amazing men and women that keep this industry moving. If "my part" means crashing a company meeting or 40th birthday party dressed as a tiger-loving cowboy, so be it! Thank you so much for your support!
