Joe Higgins Memorial for Madison & Aidan
Donation protected
Joseph F. Higgins Jr of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully on November 9, 2019. He was 67.
Joe grew up in Oak Park, IL. where he attended Fenwick High School. An avid hockey player he was inducted into the Fenwick Hall of Fame. He went on to play at St. Mary’s College in Winona Minnesota and graduated with a degree in business.
Joe’s career in outdoor sports media spanned more than 40 years and included time in sales with Field & Stream, World Fishing Network and B.A.S.S. He worked as publisher of Western Outdoors Publications and as founder and publisher of Florida Fishing Weekly.
Joe had boundless energy and a bigger than life personality. He enjoyed all sports and was a loyal friend to many. The activity he cherished most was spending time with his family.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife Tammy, his son Aidan and his daughter Madison. In his final days Joe was most concerned with how his death would affect his family and friends. It is my hope that he would be honored at how we all came together for his wife and children to Celebrate his life.
Madison and Aidan are 15 year old twins who have just entered Suncoast Community High School. Aidan is a talented trumpet player actively involved in the Suncoast High School band. He has previously been a member of the All District Jazz Band and the All District Concert Band. Madison has a love of golf, like her father, and played on the varsity golf team at Suncoast and just recently made the varsity soccer team.
My niece and nephew will have many years without Joe and I want them to know family and friends are here when they need us. I am requesting in Lieu of Flower please consider a donation to be used to help fund Madison and Aidan's 529 College Fund
Thanks
Maureen Higgins Lantero
